Feminism consciousness is a characteristic feature of this novel.There are many researchers through this angel to analyze this novel. Most of them start from the perspective of Ecofeminism. Some study construction of the female consciousness from women''s growth in 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'.

4. 计划与进度安排

I aim to use three theories to analyze and write this thesis. The French writer Simone de Beauvoir evokes that He is the Subject, he is the Absolute--She is the Other. This standpoint can help to analyze Mariam#8217;s position both in her family and in the society and analyze the development of Mariam#8217;s awakening of female consciousness during her whole life. Another famous figure Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak puts forward #8220;subaltern#8221; which is an important theory in Postcolonial Feminism theory. It can be used to analyze Mariam#8217;s relationship with her husband Rasheed and other representatives of Patriarchy. Besides, in the same field, Alice Walker puts forward another important #8220;Sisterhood#8221;, which can be used to analyze Mariam#8217;s relationship with Laila.
